The annual Veterans Day Ceremony, sponsored by American Legion Post 182, will be held in Madge L. Van Horne Auditorium in Columbia at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.

Guest speaker will be Alexander Kehayes, M.D., retired anesthesiologist and currently vice chairman of the Chowan County Board of Commissioners. Dr. Kehayes’ subject will be “Why America is Great.”

“The Legion invites the public, all veterans and their guests, and students,” said Leroy Spivey, program chairman.
