Washington Mayor Mac Hodges proclaimed November “Home Care and Hospice Month” in the City of Washington this week, honoring the services provided to North Carolina residents; services that support families and strengthen their bond, while allowing residents to receive quality end-of-life health care and social services in their own homes. In 2015, home care and hospice served more than 400,000 North Carolina residents. Hodges signed the proclamation on Nov. 14, alongside Amy Brewer, educator for Community Home Care & Hospice in Beaufort County.
