PORT PATRIOTIC: Woodmen Life, Chapter 623, recently donated American flags to the Historic Port of Washington Project and Museum. The event was part of Woodmen of the World’s community outreach and mission to make flags available to the community and in so doing, highlight the importance of the flag as a symbol of our democracy. Shown shaking hands are Audrey Woolard, president and chair of activities for Chapter 623, and Rick Zablocki, chairman of HPOW. Other Woodmen Life members present in the photo (left to right) are Garland Woolard, secretary; Tommy Hodges, vice president; Judy Fulford, treasurer; Fonda Gautier, trustee; and Sharon Britt, area manager. Historic Port of Washington Project and Museum is located at 132 S. Market St. and is open to visitors on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. (Ray Midgett)
