A large crowd gathered Saturday evening for the annual Beaufort County Police Activities League Dinner Dance, held at the Washington Yacht & Country Club. The event raises support for BCPAL, which is a nonprofit dedicated to improving community relations with law enforcement, as well as exposing youth to careers in science, technology, engineering and math. Originally scheduled for early October, the Dinner Dance was rescheduled due to Hurricane Matthew.
