Selma Lenora Blake Watson

Selma Lenora Blake Watson, 87, of Baytree Apartments, Manteo, and a native of Hyde County, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Cross Creek Health Care Center, Swan Quarter, where she had been a recent patient.
Born in Hyde County, Sept. 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Jenie Mae Cutrell Blake. She was married to Clifton Credle Watson who preceded her in death. Selma was a waitress and spent many years in restaurant work.
Funeral Services was held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Fairfield Christian Church. Rev Jerald Craddock officiated. Burial followed in the Fairfield Cemetery.
Surviving are four sisters, Carolyn B. Cutrell of Fairfield, Hope B. Dough of Manteo, Nell B. Cox of Engelhard and Kathy B. Spencer of Manteo.
In addition to her husband, Selma was also preceded in death by a son, Carlyle Clifton Watson, and a brother, Vernon Barrington.
The family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stevie Cutrell, Newlands Road, Fairfield, and received friends at the fellowship hall of the church during the hour prior to the funeral.
