Holiday festivities abound in the ‘Original Washington’

From the traditional parade in early December to holiday productions hosted by the Arts of the Pamlico and Turnage Theatre, the Christmas season is a busy one in the Original Washington.

Local stores and homes are decked out in their holiday finery and the merry ringing of Salvation Army bells add a festive touch to the setting. Washington residents know just how to celebrate the season, and it’s hard to be a Grinch or a Scrooge in a city known for its Christmas spirit.
