PANTEGO — Thursday morning, authorities responded to a two-truck wreck on Swindell Road in Pantego.

Daniel Brown, 48, of Wilson, was driving an 18-wheeler when he lost control and ran into another truck.

The other driver, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital after the accident. There is no word on either driver’s condition.

Brown was charged with failure to maintain lane control and operating a vehicle with unsafe tires, according to authorities.

The North Carolina Highway State Patrol trooper who is investigating the accident did not respond to a request for follow-up questions.
