Band students at Chocowinity Middle School presented their Winter Concert on Dec. 15. The concert began with the national anthem played by the combined seventh-and eighth-grade bands. A member of the band introduced each piece before its performance.

The sixth-grade band presented the audience with “Ode to Joy,” “Up on the Housetop,” “Jolly Old St. Nick” and “Jingle Bells.” The seventh- and eighth-grade combined group performed “Incantation and Ritual,” “Silent Night,” “We Three Kings,” “O Christmas Tree” and “Summit Fanfare.”

Members of the sixth-grade band are Joscelin Anaya, Amber Dickinson, Emily Meynardie, Noah Pounds, Madison Carlton, Zakiyah Felton, Natalie Vick, Autum Burrus, Kinzey Alexander, Za’Kaiyah Maryland, Emily Hannah, Laniyah Grady, Anija Moore, Tyshana Purdue, Isak Lopez, Aaliyah Hollis, Caleb Dixon, Kellie Alexander, Soleil Harrell, Jamerson Jones, Ty’on Warren, LaQua Williams, Brandon Garrard and Jameson Edwards.

Members of the seventh-grade band are Kylie Bowden, Lillie Tyler, Haylee Harrell, Ashley Carrick, Tashonte Ballance, Scarlett Santiago, Yasmin Woolard, Victor Gonzalez, DaeSean Blount, Maya West, Emery Grissom, Rowan Kelley, Christina Coward, Dagoberto Edwards, Brice Dixon, Deanna Adams, Aaron Anderson, Aiden Turnage and Amelia Sundeen.

Members of the eighth-grade band are Sarah Petty, Elizabeth Gagnon, Hailey Taylor, Miasia McCall, Daviann Godley, Monaya Rodman, Xavier McAllister, Shay Hartley, Ryan Libengood, Destiny Morales, McKenna Beacham, Tyshawn Ebron and Gavin Jett. The band is directed by Michael Blakeslee.
