Rachel Jean Roberson Perry

Rachel Jean Roberson Perry, 85, of Williamston, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove Christian Church with Joey Brickhouse and Ronald Gurganus officiating; burial will follow at Hardison Mill Cemetery.

Rachel was born in Martin County on December 16, 1931, daughter of the late William Thomas and Armintie Roberson. She was a homemaker and a member of Maple Grove Christian Church. On November 10, 1951, she married Seth Bridgeman Perry, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2011. A daughter Patricia Perry and a grandson Carlton Thomas Perry also preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters Tina Manning and husband Robert and Candace Perry, both of Jamesville, son W. T. Perry and wife Karla of Jamesville, grandchildren Brigitte Perry of Jamesville, Seth Manning and wife Stephanie of Jamesville, Rachel Grimes and husband Lance of Williamston, Robbie Manning and fiancé Chris Bright of Williamston and Samantha Williams of Jamesville, great-grandchildren Robert Thomas Grimes, Raymond Shaw and Makayla Shaw, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 PM at Maple Grove Christian Church Life Center and other times at the residence, 8817 NC Hwy 171, Williamston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hardison Mill Cemetery Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
