Eloise M. Galloway “Weezie,” 85, of Winterville, went home to be with her Lord & Saviour on Friday, January 13, 2017, at McGregor Downs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, NC.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11:00am at Farmer Funeral Service in Ayden, NC, officiated by the Rev. Alvis Harris and the Rev. Walter Taylor. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson, NC.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00-7:30pm and other times at the family home.

She is survived by one son, Jim Galloway and wife Wanda of Washington, NC; 2 daughters, Debra Mills and husband Edward of Winterville and Patricia Wilkins of Greenville; grandchildren, Chris Galloway and wife Kathy of Washington, NC, Renee Longboy and husband Noel of Washington, NC, Chad Wilkins and wife Samantha of Farmville, Michael Mills of Winterville; great-grandchildren, Josh Galloway and Jordan Galloway of Washington, NC; great-great grandchildren, Ella Grace Mata and Isabella Longboy of Washington, NC; one brother, Kenneth Matthews and wife Charlotte of Wilson. She was pre-deceased by her parents and husband, James I. Galloway Sr.

She was an avid seamstress, and over the years, Eloise worked with several sewing manufacturers, with her last being for Danny Taylor at The Custom Shop in Ayden. She was a member of Maranatha FWB Church in Greenville.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to all the medical staff at McGregor Downs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville and Asera Care in Winterville for their love, support and care given during her time of need.
