Physician joins Vidant Women’s Care

Dr. Anthony Canino Jr., a certified obstetrics and gynecological physician, joined Vidant Women’s Care–Washington, located at 1210 Brown St., on Jan. 9.

Canino earned his doctor of medicine degree from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. His areas of interest are advanced laparoscopic/gynecological surgery and gynecological care, including medical management of menopause symptoms, interstitial cystitis and vulva vestibulitis treatments.

“After almost 25 years in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology in New York, I am ready to start a new chapter in my professional career,” Canino said. “I am looking forward to bringing the skills and experience I’ve obtained to serve a beautiful waterfront community and to develop long-term professional relationships with patients for years to come.”

Canino joins Dr. Bonnie Corley, Dr. Weldon Shaffer III and nurse practitioner Amanda Laughlin at the practice. He is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, call 252-975-1188.
