Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 17, just north of Cherry Run Road. Witnesses said an SUV driven by a mother, with her two children in the backseat, was stopped for a school bus when a Ford truck ran into the back of the SUV, pushing it into the median ditch.

No one on the school bus was harmed. Those in the SUV were taken to Vidant Beaufort Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There was no word on the condition of the man driving the truck, but his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
