NWS asks residents to postpone burning Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a wind-gust advisory for Wednesday, with the potential for 25-30 mph gusts.
Residents are also asked to postpone burning, as high wind gusts and 80-degree temperatures increase the chance of fire spreading and becoming more difficult to control.
A small-craft advisory is also in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.
John Pack, director of Beaufort County Emergency Services, wrote in an email that the No. 1 priority is the safety of residents and the safety of firefighters who may be called to a blaze.
