Mrs. Macie Virginia Wiggins Manning, 71, of Calico, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Manning, a native of Craven County, was a longtime resident of the Calico community of Pitt County. She had operated B.T. Manning's Grocery &Service Station at Calico and also worked as a cosmetologist for many years. She was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Manning loved doing for others and graciously served her community.
Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce T. Manning.
Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Manning Wall, and husband Sammy of Calico; a granddaughter, Summer Dee Wall of Galax, Va.; and a brother, Dan Wiggins of Vanceboro.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
