Lady Pack blows past Southwest Edgecombe

Washington remained perfect in 2-A Eastern Plains Conference play when it hammered Southwest Edgecombe, 9-1, on Thursday. Sydney Walker had a hat trick to lead the way. Anna Frisbie found twine twice, and four other Lady Pack players scored a goal.

The home side scored four times in the first half, then torched the Lady Cougars for five more in the latter 40 minutes. Ball movement and creativity were key. Frisbie, Jordan Prescott, Mackenzie Seiler, Alyssa Villegas and Samantha Sheppard all had assists.

Goalkeeper Julissa Perez was only beaten once on six shots on goal.

Washington will travel to Farmville Central on Tuesday.
