John Small Elementary hosts Science Night

John Small Elementary School hosted a Duke Energy Science Night on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., as part of the North Carolina Science Festival. This event featured hands-on activities and introduced a range of science, technology, engineering and math topics. Students and their families were invited to participate. Washington High School’s National Honor Society and BCCC’s service club were also on hand to help. Stations included: Garden-in-a-Glove; Fingerprints; Build-a-Bubble; Rainbows; Gross Goo; Paper Flying Machines; Binary Bangles; Magnetic Racers; Sound Sandwiches; Create-a-Coaster; Light the Way; and Neutral Buoyancy.
