Lora H. Pace, age 72, of Washington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 30, 2017. She was born December 20, 1944 in Richwood, West Virginia to Henry and Velva Cox. She was a compassionate servant leader during her time on earth and will always be remembered for her kind heart.

She is survived by her daughter Sonya Shamseldin, her husband Mo and their four children Fatima, Isam, Atia and Layla; daughter Cassie Anderson, her husband John and their three children Hunter, Nisse and Makenzie; son Johnnie West, his wife Andrea; and son Darryl Cox and his children Micah and Josh. She is also survived by her sisters Judy, Brenda and Sheila, as well as five great-grandchildren and multiple other extended family members. She is also survived by her loving cat Sammy, who will miss her dearly.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made in Lora’s name to the Alpha-1 Foundation or Samaritan’s Purse.
