Published 3:19 pm Friday, April 7, 2017

The Washington (noon) Rotary Club wishes to remind all families and friends of graduating students and graduating students of Washington High School, Beaufort County Early College High School and Southside High School in Chocowinity to apply for a Washington (noon) Rotary Club scholarship for graduating high school students. Students are encouraged to ask for an application from their school guidance counselor’s offices. Since its inception, the Washington (noon) Rotary Club and Washington (evening) Rotary Club are proud to have given annual scholarships Beaufort County students, aimed to support students on a needs basis.

The Washington (noon) Rotary Club uses funds raised throughout the year to support scholarships for high school seniors and RYLA, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards for high school sophomores, and many other local and international programs.

Mark your calendars for this year’s 17th-annual Smoke on the Water Barbecue Festival on the Washington waterfront on Oct. 20-21, and all of the club’s annual fundraising events.

The Washington (noon) Rotary Club is a part of Rotary International and meets weekly for fellowship, lunch and an informative and interesting presentation from a guest speaker. Join us Mondays at King Chicken, Carolina Avenue, Washington at noon.
