Washington (noon) Rotary Club members were treated to a wonderful onsite lunch April 10 by the Washington Montessori Public Charter School. Director of Administration and Finance Austin Smigel spoke to dispel myths and misunderstandings of public charter schools while Directress of Academics and Education Darla Prescott informed Rotarians of the school’s academic mission and goals. Preceding their presentation, Washington (noon) Rotary Club President Pam Anderson announced that the WMPCS will partner with the club’s fall fundraiser festival, Smoke on the Water, by hosting a 5K road race Oct. 21. A school tour followed the lunch and program presentation.

The Washington (noon) Rotary Club is a part of Rotary International and meets weekly for fellowship, lunch and an informative and interesting presentation from a guest speaker.
