The Beaufort County Department of Social Services is raising awareness of child abuse throughout the month of April, as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Pinwheels for Prevention is a national campaign that supports the health, safety and wellbeing of children. The pinwheels, located outside of DSS, represent bright futures for all Beaufort County children. They were provided by the Child Fatality Prevention Team and the Beaufort-Hyde Partnership for Children.
