Sheena Marie Smith, age 60, a resident of 5551 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 peacefully at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Gospel Tabernacle Church, located at 618 Sanderson Lane, Grimesland, NC, officiated by James “Spanky” Sanderson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until the service hour at the church and other times at the home.

Sheena was born on June 17, 1956 in San Diego, California, the daughter of the late Homer Louis Smith and Goldie Weeks Smith. She was always seen with a smile on her face. Sheena loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She was always taking in and loving animals. Sheena was such a beautiful spirit inside and out and she was at her happiest while being entertained by her grandchildren. Sheena always kept everyone around her laughing with her jokes and straightforward personality.

Ms. Smith is survived by Randy Johnson, her significant other of 28 years; a son Rusty Smith and fiancée Rebecca Walker of Washington; a daughter Jessica Smith and significant other Jim Price of Washington; three sisters, Joanne Wallace of California, Vicki McRoy of North Carolina, Goldie Wright of Nebraska; a brother, Skeeter Smith of Nebraska; and her beloved four grandchildren, Kyrie, Brandon, Raymond and Lil Jim, all of Washington. Sheena was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Fowler of Iowa.
