Pamlico Pals hosts first graduation celebration

Monday evening, 16 Pamlico Pals graduates were recognized for their hard work at a graduation celebration at The Bank Bistro in downtown Washington. Directed by Shont’e Mason, Pamlico Pals is a program for students aged 7-17 that helps them learn social skills, conflict resolution and decision making to improve behavior and encourage positive interactions. The organization, supported by Beaufort County Schools and the City of Washington, is rounding out its first year of a new, interpersonal skill-related curriculum. Pamlico Pals has been in operation since 1984.
