Two BCCC students receive scholarships

The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following recipients of scholarships through the BCCC Foundation for the spring 2017 semester.

Diann Stoddard received the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina Scholarship. Stoddard, 41, is working toward a degree in medical office administration. Wife of Howard Stoddard and mother of three, she currently works at Washington Montessori Public Charter School.

Derek Woolard received the Frances Morgan Roberson Culinary Arts Scholarship. Woolard, 38, has worked as a truck driver for 13 years. The other students in his class have nicknamed him “Country.” Son of Judy Batchelor and Roger Woolard, he is a father of two. He is now taking cooking classes to open up a diner that serves gourmet lunch.

The BCCC Foundation is currently accepting scholarships for the fall 2017 semester.
