GREENVILLE — Select Bank & Trust named Joshua M. Hooton as commercial lender for the bank’s Greenville market, announced Eric S. Clark, senior vice president and regional executive for the bank.

Hooton will be responsible for commercial lending and business development efforts in the bank’s Greenville market. His office will be located at the full service branch located at 3600 Charles Blvd.

“With Josh’s extensive experience in commercial lending and more than a decade of service to Pitt, Beaufort and surrounding counties, he is a great fit for Select Bank,” Clark added. “We know he’ll be an asset to our team and to customers.”

Hooton, who lives in Greenville, most recently served as a regional banking leader for a community bank. He has been in banking since 2000 and is currently a junior at the North Carolina School of Banking in Chapel Hill. He earned his master’s in business administration from East Carolina University and also received a bachelor’s degree in applied economics from East Carolina University. Hooten also serves as a chamber ambassador for the Pitt County Chamber of Commerce.
