Margaret Elizabeth Tuten Whitman Libertini

Margaret Elizabeth Tuten Whitman Libertini, 75, of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully, Saturday June 3, 2017. Born Dec​ember 17, 1941 in Washington, she was the daughter of the late Alice Jones (Fairfield, NC) and Henry Tuten Jr. (Bath, NC). She was the grandchild of Hertford and Estelle Jones of Fairfield. She was the wife of the late Louis Joseph Libertini, who died Dec​ember 17, 2008.

Marge volunteered for American Red Cross Disaster Services and Blood Services for over 25 years. She also volunteered in schools, was host mother to many exchange students and took her rescue dogs to visit residents at local nursing homes. She was an active member of both the Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) and All Saints Episcopal in Hanover.

She is survived by her children Cathleen Livingston, Zoe Whitman, Tom Whitman, Elizabeth Grove and husband Edward, Melissa Libertini and Marjie Libertini. She is also survived by her grandchildren Benjamin, Walter, Skye, Ezra and Chelsea, and great-grandchildren Arwen, Devin and Jaden.

A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 890 McCosh St, Hanover, PA 17331 (717-637-5772), on Monday, June 12, at 11:00 AM. Private interment will be held in Fairfield at a later date.
