Residents spotted a large bear wandering in the Pamlico Plantation area on Monday morning.

The bear appeared to be 350-400 pounds and was possibly injured.

Pamlico Plantation is asking residents to stay aware of their surroundings and use caution. Do not leave pets or children outdoors unattended. Do not attempt to approach the bear or interact with it in any way.
