William Edward “Bill” Gregory, 72, of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday. His funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A private burial will be held for the family. The Rev. Howard Jackson will officiate.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Louise Barnes Gregory of the home; sons, Stanley Douglas Gregory and wife, Stacey of Wake Forest and Bradley Barnes Gregory of Raleigh; grandchildren, Daniel Gregory, Hannah Gregory and Ethan Gregory; brother, Lawrence Douglas “Doug” Mercer and wife, Rachel Lee Mercer of Beaufort; cousins, Graham Campbell and wife, Phyllis of Rocky Mount and Stan Campbell and wife, Georgia of Chapel Hill.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Grace Covenant Church of Rocky Mount, P.O. Box 8446, Rocky Mount, N.C. 27804, where Bill was a faithful member.
