First Bank is pleased to announce L. Scott Sheppard has been appointed as a director to its advisory board.

He is the owner of Inner Banks Orthopedics LLC and a member and manager of Inner Banks Icehouses LLC.

Sheppard graduated from Washington High School in 1989 and from East Carolina University in 1993.

He is a former president and board member of the Beaufort County Committee of 100 and a past president of the Washington Tourism Development Authority.

Sheppard lives in Washington with his wife, Mary Kathryn, and two children, Parker and Mary Scott. He is the son of Mary Lou Sheppard and the late Beaufort County Sheriff Nelson Sheppard.
