James Howard “Jimmy” Wallace Jr.

Mr. James Howard “Jimmy” Wallace Jr., age 59, a resident of Pinetown, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, conducted by Arthur “Bud” Ball.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Wofford Thomas, Jimmy Harris, Carlos Salinas, Jack Tankard, George Tetterton and Benjie Brooks.

Mr. Wallace was born in Beaufort County on September 4, 1957. He was the son of Gertrude Waddell Wallace and the late James Howard “Bud” Wallace Sr. Mr. Wallace was a 1977 graduate of Bath High School and attended Beaufort County Community College. He worked at Flanders Filters for over 25 years.

He was a member of Athens Chapel Church of Christ. In his spare time, he enjoyed Geo Caching, fishing, crabbing and collecting antiques.

Mr. Wallace is survived by two daughters, Tracie Wallace Asby and her husband, Eric, Olivia Wallace, all of Pinetown; his mother, Gertrude Wallace of Bath; and three granddaughters, Natalie, Corabeth and Erica Asby, all of Pinetown.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard “Bud” Wallace Sr.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home of his daughter, Tracie Wallace Asby, 6367 N. Boyd Road, Pinetown.
