Ronald William Black

Mr. Ronald William Black, age 82, a resident of Chocowinity, died Friday July 28, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Friday August 4, 2017 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Pastor Ken Cash. Dustin Gaines, Kyler Gaines, Elmer Latham, Larry Pittman, Gregory Latham and Minh Harriman will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Black was born in Bronx, New York on May 17, 1935 to the late Charles Black and Opal Irene Latham Black. He was a retired Chief Engineer in the United States Navy and attended Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald W. Black Jr., James L. Black and one brother, James A. Brand and wife Wanda of Chocowinity. He was preceded in death by one brother, David R. Brand Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beaufort County DAV, Chapter 48, c/o Juanita White, 306 Helens Lane, Washington, NC 27889.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
