Ms. Valerie Carmen Moss, age 40, a resident of 303 Sparrows Bay Lane, Blounts Creek, died Saturday, August 5, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Lewis Swindell IV. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.

Ms. Moss was born in Wilson County August 22, 1976. She was the daughter of Ronald W. Moss and Ava Call Barnes. Ms. Moss was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed glass blowing.

Ms. Moss is survived by her son, Charles William “Charlie” Meyers of New Bern; her daughter, Bella Juliet Kinzie of Wilmington; her mother, Ava C. Barnes of the home; her father, Ronald W. Moss of Tarboro; two sisters, Candice Moss of Blounts Creek, Erica Dalrymple of Manteo; two brothers, Randall Garrett Barnes of Robersonville, Christopher Moss of Wilson; paternal grandmother, Esther Jewel Lucas of Wilson; and two grandchildren, Ivan Lee Meyers and Madelyn Elizabeth Meyers.
