Mrs. Angela R. Corey, of Greenville, NC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm in the Lion of Judah Community Church on Old Creek Road. Burial will follow in Roberson Cemetery in Jamesville.

Angela was born in Beaufort County on February 20, 1942 and came to live in Greenville in January of 1968. Angela worked as a manager in the cafeteria at Hyster-Yale (formerly NAACO).

Her family was her life. She enjoyed cooking, especially preparing the favorite things for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the beach and watching birds.

Angela was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Abe; her father and mother, Archie and Mae Roberson; and brother, Paul Roberson.

She is survived by her: daughters, Pam Corey of Raleigh and Penny Corey of Greenville; son, Tim Corey and wife, Karen, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Chad Corey, Caroline Corey and Courtney Paul and husband, Brad; two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Addisyn Paul; two step-grandchildren, Katie and Hunter Harris; sister, Debbie Schneider and husband, Art, and their daughter, Kara; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
