Mr. William Allen Roberts, age 70, a resident of Belhaven, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at West Belhaven Church of Christ and will be officiated by James Scheffler.

Mr. Roberts was born in Beaufort County on September 23, 1946 to George Washington Roberts Jr. and Lillian “Lee” Grace Crombie Roberts. He received an associate degree from Martin County Community College in Law Enforcement. He spent 6 years in the United States Navy and 15 years in the National Guard. Mr. Roberts was a member of West Belhaven Church of Christ.

Survivors include his son William “Billy” Jerod Roberts and wife Melissa of Greenville; three grandchildren, Brady Roberts, Holly Roberts and Allyson Hathaway; his mother, Lillian “Lee” Grace Roberts of Belhaven; a sister, Linda Carol Roberts of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Washington Roberts Jr. and a son at birth, William Allen Roberts Jr.
