Richard B. Lupton (pictured), Hyde County native and author of the recently published “Olde Wickham, Little Kingdom by the Sea,” will be present for a book signing Sept. 24, from 2-4 p.m. at Spencer’s True Value (34910 U.S. Highway 264) in Engelhard. Copies of the more than 500-page hardbound book, a comprehensive history of Hyde County, including Ocracoke and Hatteras, will be available for purchase at $50 each plus sales tax.
