Northside controlled the clock for the majority of the first half and went into halftime down, 7-0, at Manteo. The Redskins, directed by former Washington coach Sport Sawyer, were able to explode for big plays in the second half as they rolled to a 28-0 shutout win over the Panthers.

Manteo was led by Ian Johnson’s 201 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Caz Wheeler and Thatcher Tillett each added a ground trip to the end zone, too.
