Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Josiah, Rodney and Abby

Peas in a pod — that’s our friendly, playful and attractive, 4-month-old, American shorthair tabbies. They wear almost identical coats with light and dark orange stripes and hints of white highlights. Their huge eyes are spellbinding.

Affectionate boys, Josiah and Rodney are genuine purr-meisters. Abby (not in the photo) is a loveable female and she looks very much a like her brothers. All three love sweet talk and attention. Meg

Meg, a white, Miniature Poodle–mix, is an older dog of 10 years. This sweet girl has special needs because she appears to be blind and deaf. But she walks nicely, although slowly, on a leash; she’s calm, gentle and she tries to please. Darling Meg wants and needs a loving forever home that will provide her with a comfortable, peaceful and safe place to be cared for and loved. And in return, she will be a faithful companion and friend.
