Update: The Silver Alert was cancelled at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for 74-year-old Cecil Allen Toler of Chocowinity.

Toler, who is 5-foot-9 and weighs 175 pounds, was last seen at Food Pride on N.C. Highway 33 in Chocowinity. He was wearing a blue-and-white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt and jeans. Toler has brownish gray hair and green eyes.

Authorities believe Toler may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Anyone with information regarding Toler’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at 252-946-7111.
