Washington, Southside and Northside all met in Pinetown Monday afternoon to decide which cross-country teams were the best in Beaufort County as they “ran for the rock.” The teams endured rainy conditions during their race.

Northside, in upset fashion, finished top among the boys. Washington placed first in the girls’ competition.

The Panthers and Lady Pack each took possession of their respective rock for the year. The Panthers spray painted theirs black and signed their names. Washington spray painted theirs blue.
