Washington went out to Greene Central on Tuesday for the 2-A Eastern Carolina Conference tournament. Kayla Clark qualified for the 2-A eastern regional in singles competition. She beat Kinston’s Julvondria Hodges (6-1, 6-0) and Greene Central’s Taylor Hill (6-3, 6-3). That put her in the semifinals where she fell to Sidney Swindell of North Lenoir (6-2, 6-2).

In doubles action, Mary Grace Wilder and Claire Shepard also qualified for the regional. They beat Nyashia Sutton and Sari Dosch of Ayden-Grifton (6-2, 6-0). Lilly Frances Lobo earned a first-round singles win for the Lady Pack.

The duo of Abbi Tucker and Bailey Gerard picked up a doubles win, too.
