Bernice Morris Hall, age 72, a resident of 5222 Sidney Road, Belhaven, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at the Pitt Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2003, at the chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington, conducted by the Rev. Phil Hayes. Burial will follow at the Aulander Cemetery in Aulander, N.C. at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Hall was born on Jan. 19, 1931, daughter of the late Allie Cohen Morris and Effie Hoggard Morris. On June 8, 1956, she married Owen Rudolph Hall, who survives. She had lived in the Belhaven community for the past 30 years. Mrs. Hall worked at the River Forest Manor in Belhaven for some 25 years before retiring.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son; Mike Hall and wife Jackie of Norfolk, Va.; her daughter, Lisa Hall Mizelle and husband Joel of Washington; two sisters, Sarah Jenkins of Roanoke Rapids; and Nora Mears of Tarboro; and two beloved grandchildren, Hayley Elizabeth Mizelle and Kevin Reed Mizelle of Washington.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Paul Funeral Home in Washington and at other times at the home.
