Chocowinity Middle students choose free books

Students at Chocowinity Middle School received the chance to pick out free books when librarian Lisa Baker began weeding her collection. English/language arts teachers brought classes in and gave students time to look through the titles that were removed from the library. Librarians regularly weed their collections, removing outdated and worn out materials. By allowing students to take home free books, CMS hopes to encourage the love of reading and give students an opportunity to develop responsibility when caring for their own books.
