To the Editor:

I would like to thank all Northeast Elementary School students and staff (principal, organizer, administration, teachers, cafeteria, maintenance) and the ROTC members from Northside High School for giving such a warm and thoughtful display of Americanism to some of our local veterans.

Your Veterans Appreciation Day was well-attended, was well-organized, and you allowed each and every veteran to take away a feeling of respect and appreciation in the service to our country.

Again, thank you for a job well done and in not forgetting the 1-percenters of our country who are proud to have taken that stand.
