The Washington (evening) Rotary Club met Thursday at the Washington Yacht & Country Club.
Following a time for fellowship in the Upper Deck, members assembled in the Pamlico Room, where President Todd Williamson convened the meeting.
Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance, sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee,” and the president offered a blessing.
Rocky Jacobs, a club member, gave an informative, interesting and in-depth report relating to charities supported by Rotary, and explained how the Rotary Foundation functions in dispersing funds to charities. The scope of Rotary’s giving is impressive in its diversity and in total dollar amounts.
After the presentation by Jacobs, and recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test, Williamson adjourned the meeting.
