GREAT IN SHOW: The NCFFA State Livestock Evaluation Competition was held at the N.C. State Fairgrounds on Nov. 28. Northeast Regional School of Biotechnology & Agriscience Future Farmers of American placed 24th out of 88 senior teams, with only one junior on the team, one sophomore and two freshmen. Aaron Spruill, a freshman, was the top scorer and placed 61 out 316 competitors. Ranking among such seasoned teams is a feat for a group’s first competition. Chelsea McPherson, an agriculture science teacher at NERSBA, serves as the group’s staff advisor.
