Jay Richard Paul

Jay Richard Paul, age 70, joined the Lord’s broadcasting group when he passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, in the Novant Presbyterian Main Hospital in Charlotte.

He was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, the son of Dick Paul and the late Lorraine C. Paul. He is survived by his father, Dick Paul, of Washington; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Sandra, of Buford, Georgia; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jenai, and three grandchildren, Avery, Mason and Whitney, of Baltimore, Maryland; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kate, of Charlotte; and a son, Andrew, of Lewisville. He also leaves a very devoted companion, Carol Armstrong, of Stanley. Jay had several nieces and nephews in Georgia.

He was an East Carolina University graduate and spent his entire career in television production at TV stations in Virginia and North Carolina. He was very active in sports with his sons and serve as president of a Little League baseball club in Winston-Salem, where his sons participated on teams.

Plans will be announced for a funeral service to be conducted in Virginia.
