DYNAMIC DUO: Two of the most popular animals sighted on Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge are Black bears & Red wolves. To see them within close proximity of each other is rare and makes for a great photo opportunity. Black bears & Red wolves share some of the same food sources, ranging from a variety of animals to even insects and berries. Visit National Wildlife Refuges Visitor Center on Roanoke Island.
