From Chocowinity Middle School

Band students at Chocowinity Middle School presented their Winter Concert on Dec. 12. The concert began with the national anthem played by Yasmin Woolard, Dagoberto Edwards and Emery Grissom. A member of the band introduced each piece before its performance. The sixth-grade band presented the audience with “Ode to Joy,” “Hard Rock Blues,” “Jolly Old St. Nick,” “Up on a Housetop,” “My Dreidel” and “Jingle Bells.” The seventh- and eighth-grade combined group performed “Beautiful Savior,” “Rock the Halls,” “Mayan Dawn,” themes from “Harry Potter,” “Abandoned Treasure Hunt” and “Christmas Magic.”

Members of the sixth-grade band are Sarah Tucker, Tai’Asia Price, Trey Corey, Kennedy Hawkins, Mya Bryant, Bladimir Villeda, Whitney Harrell, Crystal Gibbs, Kaylee Sitterson, DeNajah Warren, Janiyah Vines, Ian Wainwright, Grace Elks, Orlando Woolard, Jacob Taylor, Yolanda Hernandez, Brice Sosebee, Jacqueline Hernandez, Kaleb Barber, Latham Dixon, Wyatt Elzey, Christopher Craft, McKinley Cota, Savannah Mauser, Savannah Trower, Victoria Diaz, Genesis Castro, Emmanuel Rogers and Steven Wells. Members of the seventh- and eighth-grade band are Kylie Bowden, Amber Dickinson, Emily Meynardie, Joscelin Anaya, Madison Carlton, Zakaiyah Felton, Yasmin Woolard, Victor Gonzalez, Maya West, Kinzey Alexander, Emily Hannah, Emery Grissom, Kellie Alexander, Soleil Harrell, Tashonte Ballance, Dagoberto Edwards, Brice Dixon, Aaliyah Hollis, Isak Lopez, Laniyah Grady, Anija Moore, Tyshana Purdue, LaQua Williams, Jameson Edwards, Scarlett Santiago, Caleb Dixon, Ty’on Warren, Brandon Garrard, Deanna Adams, Aaron Anderson, Aiden Turnage and Amelia Sundeen.
