Bishop J.C. McCotter, 83, of 5927 Dawson Road, Grifton, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Heath’s Abundant Life Ministries, Kinston. Entombment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Estates. A public visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home, and an inspirational visitation from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Heath Abundant Life Ministries. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
