Commissioners nominate Griswell to Coastal Resources Advisory Council

The Tyrrell County Board of Commissioners on January 16 nominated one of their own — Commissioner Nina Griswell — to a seat on the Coastal Resources Advisory Council.

“This is the first time we have been asked to submit under the amended CAMA Act,” said county manager David Clegg.

The council advises the Coastal Resources Commission on adoption of new or amended regulations that govern environmental policies in the 20 coastal counties of North Carolina and the cities and towns within them.

Griswell volunteered for the assignment.
