Roy Bryan Hamilton

Mr. Roy Bryan Hamilton, age 58, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.

He was born Jan. 16, 1960, to Marcia Hamilton and the late Henry Hamilton, Sr. in Beaufort County. He is survived by his mother, Marcia Hamilton, of Washington; his brother, Henry “Hank” Hamilton, Jr. and his wife Van, along with their daughters, Sydney Hamilton, Victoria and Vanessa Nixon of Tyner, North Carolina; his sister, Rhonda Hamilton and her children, Leslie Brown and her husband Joe Brown, and Weston Waters, all of Washington.

Roy graduated from Bath High School in 1978. He was a 1996 graduate of the Sierra Academy of Aeronautics in California and was employed with HAECO Aviation in Greensboro. He was a member of Everetts Church of Christ, Pinetown.

A celebration of Roy’s life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at First Church of Christ, Washington, with Steve Hill officiating. The family will receive friends at his mother’s home, 614 E. Sixth St., Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Humane Society of Beaufort County, PO Box 33, Washington, NC. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington, has been given the honor of being entrusted with serving the Hamilton family.
